OEC Action Fund applauds efforts to fix drinking water and runoff pollution through investing in local solutions
Columbus, OH – Today, in response to Sen. Schiavoni’s introduction of legislation aimed at improving Ohio’s water infrastructure, the Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund released the following supportive statement:
“This legislation will help towns and cities across Ohio deliver safe drinking water and prevent pollution from outdated sewer systems. Under this proposal Ohio voters would have a chance to pass a $1 billion dollar bond for targeted infrastructure development to address years of backlogged public works projects that would also create local jobs. The OEC Action Fund applauds Sen. Schiavoni’s leadership to help address the numerous threats to Ohioans’ tap water and stop sewage from going into our precious rivers and lakes.”
