OEC Action Fund Congratulates DeWine-Husted Campaign on Their Election Victory
COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio Voters reelected Governor Mike DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Jon Husted for another term. Governor DeWine has been a leader on land and water during his current term, making historic strides to improve water quality and grow Ohio’s state park system. Going into the next term, the OEC Action Fund looks to continue this positive work that boosts the quality of life for Ohioans while continuing our calls for improvements in Ohio energy policies and an end to gerrymandering.
The following statement can be attributed in full or in part to Pete Bucher, Interim President of the OEC Action Fund:
“We congratulate Governor DeWine and Lieutenant Governor Husted on their reelection victory. Their leadership in the first term on improving Ohio’s water quality and expanding public lands has played a critical role in improving the quality of life for Ohioans.
During the next four years, we hope to continue working with the administration on their paramount programs like H2Ohio while striving to develop proactive climate policies that put Ohioans first and enact equitable state and federal district maps. For Ohio to thrive, we need to establish transparent, efficient policies and regulatory processes that will allow our renewable energy economy to grow. In order to ensure a healthy environment, we need a fair and functioning democracy for all who call Ohio home.”
