OEC Action Fund Endorses 18 Candidates and One Ballot Initiative Ahead of May 5th Primary Election
Columbus, OH — The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund is proud to announce its latest round of endorsements for the May 5th primary election, supporting 18 candidates and one ballot initiative across Ohio. These endorsements reflect our commitment to building a future where clean air, safe water, and resilient neighborhoods are a reality for every Ohioan as voters prepare to head to the polls.
“Ohioans need leaders who will fight to lower energy costs, protect our clean water resources, and demand accountability from major polluters,” said Spencer Dirrig, OEC Action Fund Vice President of Government Affairs. “We are proud to endorse a slate of candidates who are committed to clean air, safe water, healthy public lands, and a thriving democracy. These leaders are prepared to deliver real solutions for Ohio families and defend our environment from pollution and neglect.”
In 2026 so far, the OEC Action Fund endorsed 36 candidates and one ballot initiative across the state, underscoring the organization’s deep engagement in key races and issues impacting Ohio communities this election season.
