OEC Action Fund Endorses Allison Russo for Ohio Secretary of State and John Kulewicz for Ohio Attorney General
Columbus, Ohio — The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund has announced its endorsement of Allison Russo for Ohio Secretary of State and John Kulewicz for Ohio Attorney General.
Allison Russo for Ohio Secretary of State
Representative Russo is running on a platform for voter access, election integrity, and data privacy. Russo is calling for policies to make voting more accessible, including legislation allowing Ohioans to walk unreturned mail-in ballots to any precinct on Election Day. She aims to serve as a guard against legislative overreach and emphasizes clear, honest ballot language. She is touting her legislative experience by having previously sponsored privacy legislation to block state entities from improperly sharing residents’ personal identifying data and is pushing to protect the personal information of public service professionals.
The following quote can be attributed, in whole or in part, to Pete Bucher, Vice President of Campaigns for the OEC Action Fund:
“Ohioans deserve a Secretary of State that will safeguard our elections, ensure every voice is heard in our democracy, and serve the people of Ohio with integrity. Representative Allison Russo is the best person to be our next Secretary of State, and the OEC Action Fund is proud to endorse her in this race.”
John Kulewicz for Ohio Attorney General
The Ohio Attorney General acts as the state’s legal counsel, enforcing environmental laws and prosecuting polluters. Through its Environmental Enforcement Section, the Attorney General investigates criminal environmental activity, handles civil enforcement, and represents state agencies in court.
Councilmember John Kulewicz is focusing on fighting price-fixing monopolies, combating consumer and nursing home fraud, and rooting out waste and abuse. He wants the AG’s office to better direct its efforts towards consumer protections, unlawful discrimination, and wage theft.
The following quote can be attributed, in whole or in part, to Pete Bucher, Vice President of Campaigns for the OEC Action Fund:
“Councilmember John Kulewicz is the Attorney General that Ohioans deserve. He will use every tool in the office to protect the people of this state and our environment. If we see another major environmental crisis like in East Palestine, he will make sure that polluters pay for the impacts that they create. The OEC Action Fund is proud to endorse John Kulewicz for Ohio Attorney General.”
