Some of the only opposition testimony came from the Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund’s Nolan Rutschilling, who called the bill an “egregious” giveaway to a pollutive industry, citing recent leaks from natural gas wells in Southeast Ohio.
"Natural gas companies need to pay their fair share of taxes to Ohio communities, and don’t need more funding for infrastructure that can damage our water and land," said Nolan Rutschilling, Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund's managing director of energy policy.
There are a lot of ways to ensure we have reliable power. One way is simply ensuring we have a more efficient energy grid.
