Columbus, OH -- The following statement can be attributed to Sarah Spence, Director of Government Affairs at the Ohio Environmental Council Action Fund:
“Today, I offered opponent testimony to HB 114 in the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee. This bill would roll back much of the progress that has been made in clean energy and energy efficiency programs, weakening Ohio’s energy portfolio.
“Ohio’s clean energy standards and energy efficiency standards play a critical role in setting the course for the state's energy future, diversifying where Ohioans get their electricity. I urged the committee to reject HB 114 in its current form, allowing Ohio’s clean energy standards to deliver its intended benefits to people across the state.”
