COLUMBUS, OH — Ohio voters advanced all Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund-endorsed climate candidates onto the November General Election, with one race heading to a recount. Additionally, Mansfield voters approved an important ballot initiative in yesterday’s Primary Election.
“Yesterday Ohio voters made their voices clear. They demanded strong leaders at the Statehouse who will fight for our environment — protecting Ohio’s air, land, and water and strengthening our democracy,” said Spencer Dirrig, OEC Action Fund Director. “We’re thrilled to see all of OEC Action Fund’s endorsed climate candidates advance to the November General Election. These leaders are committed to the bold climate action needed to safeguard Ohio’s environment for future generations while promoting environmental justice in their communities across the state.”
“We’re proud to have supported the successful citizen-led Mansfield Water Main Initiative, which passed last night. Every Mansfield resident deserves clean drinking water and this win moves us toward that clean future,” Dirrig said.
