Cincinnati, OH — Voters have elected Aftab Pureval as Cincinnati’s next mayor in a decisive victory. The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund endorsed Pureval ahead of the General Election. Additionally, OEC Action Fund endorsed climate candidates Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, Greg Landsman, Reggie Harris, Meeka Owens, Victoria Parks, Jeff Cramerding, and Mark Jeffreys won their bids for City Council . The Great Parks of Hamilton County levy is on track to pass as well.
“The OEC Action Fund congratulates Mayor-elect Pureval on his decisive victory to lead the city of Cincinnati,” said OEC Action Fund Director Trish Demeter. “We were proud to endorse Mr. Pureval and look forward to working with him to champion the Cincinnati Environmental Plan which is designed to fight climate change while also reducing emissions to ensure cleaner air to breathe, protecting residents' drinking water resources, expanding parks and green space for city residents, and securing good-paying green jobs.”
