OEC Action Fund PAC Celebrates Endorsed Candidate Wins

Columbus, OH — The Ohio Environmental Council (OEC) Action Fund PAC congratulates the following endorsed candidates on their General Election victories. 

The OEC Action Fund PAC congratulates Judge Jennifer Brunner on her election to the Ohio Supreme Court. “Judge Brunner is committed to defending our democracy and upholding a fair redistricting process when new legislative and political boundaries are drawn. This commitment is critical to ensuring Ohioans voices are heard and our environment is protected. She will be a strong addition to the Ohio Supreme Court,” said Heather Taylor-Miesle, OEC Action Fund President.

The following endorsed candidates were elected or re-elected to positions in the Ohio Legislature: 

  • Rep. Kent Smith (D-Euclid) in the race for Ohio House District 8.

  • Rep. Michael Skindell (D-Lakewood) in the race for Ohio House District 13.

  • Rep. Adam Miller (D-Columbus) in the race for Ohio House District 17.

  • Rep. Kristin Boggs (D-Columbus) in the race for Ohio House District 18.

  • Rep. Mary Lightbody (D-Westerville) in the race for Ohio House District 19.

  • Rep. Beth Liston (D-Dublin) in the race for Ohio House District 21.

  • Rep. David Leland (D-Columbus) in the race for House District 22.

  • Rep. Laura Lanese (R-Grove City) in the race for Ohio House District 23.

  • Rep. Allison Russo (D-Upper Arlington) in the race for Ohio House District 24.

  • Dontavius Jarrells (D) in the race for House District 25.

  • Rep. Erica Crawley (D-Columbus) in the race for Ohio House District 26.

  • Rep. Jessica Miranda (D-Forest Park) in the race for Ohio House District 28.

  • Rep. Sedrick Denson (D-Cincinnati) in the race for House District 33.

  • House Minority Leader Emilia Strong Sykes (D-Akron) in the race for Ohio House District 34.

  • Rep. Casey Weinstein (D-Hudson) in the race for Ohio House District 37.

  • Rep. Gayle Manning (R-North Ridgeville) in the race for House District 55.

  • Sen. Vernon Sykes (D-Akron) in the race for Ohio Senate District 28.

“We applaud these environmental champions on wonderful campaigns and their victories,” said Taylor-Miesle. “A healthy environment relies on informed and motivated elected officials. Each of these lawmakers will fight hard for Ohio’s environment. We look forward to seeing their leadership on legislation that ensures clean air to breathe, safe water to drink, nearby vibrant greenspace to explore, and a strong democracy to protect our environment.”

The OEC Action Fund PAC eagerly awaits the final results in the race for Ohio Senate District 16, where we’ve endorsed candidate Crystal Lett (D).
