OEC Action Fund Statement on Passage of Inflation Reduction Act

“Today is a historic day in the fight against the climate crisis. The combined investments in the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 put the U.S. on a path to roughly 40% emissions reduction by 2030, and represent the single biggest climate investment in U.S. history. While a huge victory for the climate movement, more work is needed to ensure no one is left behind during the energy transition.”

Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur Joins National Panel to Call for Climate Investment

“Ohioans understand that Lake Erie is critical to our state’s drinking water, recreation, and economy. To protect the Great Lakes against the impacts of climate change, it is critical that we pass a federal climate bill that will invest in climate action here in Ohio. We are grateful for Congresswoman Kaptur’s strong and impactful work to protect clean water and the health of our Lake through federal legislation.”

Representative Brent released a video announcement of her lead co-sponsorship on social media this morning.
